Dover- On 8/3/2017, at approximate 10:45 p.m.,  Delaware Probation and Parole Officers assigned to the Dover Safe Streets Unit, a joint unit consisting of Dover Police and Delaware Probation and Parole Officers, arrived at the Capital Inn to attempt a curfew check on an unidentified male probationer. 

When the door to the room opened, officers found a smoke-filled room, which was occupied by Daekwon Hoskins, 22, Jameer Roberson, 19, John Smith, 34, and Elijah Stewart, 24. After obtaining permission, Probation Officers conducted an administrative search of the residence and seized 285.3 grams of marijuana, digital scales, materials used to package and sell narcotics, $835 USC, and a .40 cal semi-automatic pistol with an extended magazine in the room. All items seized were turned over to Dover Police for processing. 

Smith and Stewart were found to have outstanding warrants for their arrest and taken into custody.

Roberson was charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana and drug paraphernalia and released on unsecured bond.

Hoskins was charged with possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana-Tier I quantity, and drug paraphernalia. He has since been committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $67,000 secured bond.
