Dover- Delaware Probation and Parole participate in a joint operation with Dover Police and Delaware State Police that leads to drugs, guns, and new arrest.

At approximately 6:05 a.m. on Wednesday, Officers from all three agencies proceeded to execute a search warrant in the area of Alonzo Drive, Dover. During the search, officers discovered three handguns (9mm), ammunition, and 20.3 grams of marijuana during the search

During the operation, a man later identified as Khalil Seward released a large and aggressive dog to attack officers in an attempt to avoid arrest. The attacking dog was shot, and Seward was immediately detained.

Seward is currently in Department of Correction's custody after being denied bail. Seward has been charged with illegal gang participation, five counts of possession of a firearm/ammunition by a person prohibited, use of an animal to avoid arrest, resisting arrest, and possession of marijuana. 

A second man, Equan Barber, has been charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and felony resisting arrest with force.
