Townsend – The Kent County Governor’s Task Force have arrested brothers after illegal drugs were found in their motel room.

The incident occurred Wednesday March 8, 2017 around 7:15 p.m. when troopers and Probation Officers assigned to the Task Force, along with the State Police Special Operations Response Team (S.O.R.T.) responded to the Pleasant Hill Motel located at 3155 DuPont Parkway in order to conduct a search warrant for Usef L. Dickerson, 30 of Middletown.  Usef Dickerson was wanted by troopers in reference to a hit and run crash investigation that occurred on January 24, 2017 on Pulaski Highway, Newark.  He was also wanted out of Smyrna Police Department for traffic related charges, as well as multiple capiases out of Superior Court in all three counties.

Upon arrival at the motel, troopers made entry into the room and took Ronnaire Dickerson,25 of Townsend, into custody without incident.  Usef Dickerson was taken into custody after he attempted to flee through a bathroom window.  A search of the room revealed 519 bags of heroin (3.633 grams) as well as over $900.00 in suspected drug proceeds.

Both the Dickerson brothers were transported to Troop 3 and charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Heroin), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Heroin), Conspiracy 2nd, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Ufef Dickerson was additionally charged with Resisting Arrest during this most recent event and multiple traffic related offenses committed during the January 24th incident.  Usef was committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $35,253.00 secured bond, while Ronnaire was committed on $32,250.00 secured bond.
