On February 8, 2017, Delaware Probation and Parole assisted the FBI in apprehending a dangerous sexual predator for multiple charges.

This dangerous Sexual Predator, whose name is being concealed for Victim’s safety, was serving probation for Bank Robbery in Delaware. During that time, he was flagged by the FBI after they found evidence of him producing and trading child pornography with other individuals on the internet. The FBI knowing this Child Predator was on probation began coordinating with the unnamed officer to develop vital information that would lead to the successful capture of the offender.  Despite knowing how volatile the situation was, this Officer conducted a curfew check thereby establishing a location and layout that was used to help develop the FBI’s arrest plan. On 2/8/2017, the arrest plan was carried out and this dangerous Sexual Predator is now in federal custody.

It must also be noted that throughout this process, this Officer, who is also assigned to the department’s CERT team, was on scene for the duration of the tragic incident that took place at James T Vaughn Correctional Center. Furthermore, he was also on the team of officers who breached Vaughn and helped take back control of the facility.
