Current

The Lodge may facilitate the cooperative availability and use of a group legal aid plan(s), which will protect Lodge members from legal action in the course of their duties as Probation/Parole Officers I and II, Senior Probation/Parole Officers and Probation/Parole Supervisors.

Proposed New - at General Meeting on 1/3/13.

The Lodge will facilitate the cooperative availability and use of a legal defense plan which will protect the Lodge members from legal action in the course of their duties as Probation/Parole Officers I and II, Senior Probation/Parole Officers and dues paying Probation/Parole Supervisors and Operations Administrators.

The legal defense plan must be funded at $10,000 per quarter until such time as it reaches $250,000. If the account balance in the legal defense fund goes under $250,000, the $10,000 quarterly payments will resume. If funds need to be removed from the legal defense plan for other than legal defense plan purposes then a unanimous vote of the Board of Directors is required.
