Wilmington- On Thursday, Wilmington Safe Streets arrested James Madlock (20) of Wilmington, for guns and drugs. Wilmington Safe Streets is a joint task force consisting of Wilmington Police and Delaware Probation and Parole Officers. 

On 5/10/2018 at 11:50 a.m., Safe Streets officers observed a gray Camaro with Michigan registration with improper tint and non-working brake lights. Officers then initiated a traffic stop for these infractions. As officers approached the vehicle, they detected a strong odor of Marijuana coming from the vehicle. Officers then made contact with Madlock, who was sitting in the front passenger seat. Madlock immediately self-reported he was in possession of Marijuana and a rifle in the trunk of the car. While removing Mr. Madlock from the vehicle, Officers observed another firearm concealed in the driver side lower compartment. Madlock then consented to a search of his residence.

Overall, the following items were seized:

One Taurus 9mm;
One Hi-Point 9mm Semi-Automatic rifle;
Thirty-Seven 9mm Cartridges;
One 9mm Magazine (Taurus)
One 9mm Extended Magazine (Taurus)
One 9mm Magazine (Hi-Point)
308 grams of marijuana; 
Two portable digital scales

As a result of the search, Madlock has been charged with Possession with the intent to deliver, Carrying a Concealed deadly weapon, Possession of firearms by a person prohibited, Possession of controlled substance in Tier 1 quantity, and Failure to register a vehicle.

Sussex Officers Make Big Arrest

Bridgeville- Delaware Probation and Parole and Delaware State Police have arrested 49-year-old Calvin L. Allen, an active probationer, for drug and traffic charges following a
